Aarhus Energy A/S is looking for a Senior Intraday Trader for our European power desk. You will get the chance to become an early joiner in a startup within commodity trading. Our ambition is to create an environment in which we automate our trading strategies and apply them to European main markets.

Your role will be to design, implement, execute and evaluate our trading strategies and ensure that we move towards automation wherever possible. You will belong to the trading team, and will be expected to trade markets, create proof of concept for trading strategies, perform analysis and co-develop automated execution across markets.

The role

• To trade in day-ahead and intraday markets.
• To trade in capacities interconnectors.
• Generate and conceptualize trading strategies in existing and new markets.

Your skillset

• Minimum of 3 years trading experience from a similar or adjacent role.
• Above average programming skills within the field of trading, especially within automation.
• Excellent English skills – oral and written.

• You are passionate and competitive in trading and have a positive track record.
• You want to take responsibility for profitability, business development and optimization/consolidation.
• You understand that succeeding is a team effort.
• You can work mainly from our Aarhus office.

Your role will be to execute our trading strategies and ensure that we move towards automation wherever possible. You will belong to the trading team and will be expected to trade profitably in the markets, create proof of concept for trading strategies, perform analysis and co-develop automated execution across markets.

• Ensure that we execute our strategies.

Your skillset

• Trading experience from a similar or adjacent role.
• A basic understanding of programming within the field of trading.
• Excellent English skills – oral and written.

You likely have a PhD or MSc in mathematics, economics, finance, physics, engineering, computer science or similar, and have practical experience in trading or quantitative research. You also have:Aarhus Energy A/S is looking for a new quant that can help us scale our automated trading operations in the European power markets. The job is on-site from our office in Aarhus. You will work closely with traders and developers on data-driven strategies, market analysis and trading automation.

The role

• Develop quantitative trading strategies.
• Analyse market data.
• Build models for pricing, forecasting and risk management.
• Participate in automating our workflow and machine learning pipelines.
• Convert theory into practical results.

Your profile

 You likely have a PhD or MSc in mathematics, economics, finance, physics, engineering, computer science or similar, and are either close to graduation or have less than two years of work experience in trading or quantitative research. You also have:

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong programming skills and good familiarity with Python.
• Interest in markets, trading and data.
• A structured, curious and commercial mindset.
